We understand that many students who attended orientation previously may feel unprepared for returning to campus in the Fall.

Mandatory programming events will take place exclusively online. We are continuing to offer a fun and informative orientation experience for everyone, including those who will be with us on campus and those starting remotely.

During Orientation you will learn about Thurgood Marshall College's rich history, values, and traditions and deepen your understanding of academic support and campus resources, as well as explore co-curricular opportunities. Participation is required for both synchronous days of orientation, as well as the asynchronous components to complete the Orientation program. By participating and completing these synchronous and asynchronous components, you will learn about a variety of topics, including:.
Synchronous: Thurgood Marshall College Orientation has a 2-day synchronous Orientation program, in which you will connect with your Orientation Leader and fellow incoming students over Zoom. Audio and video participation is strongly encouraged during these live zoom meetings. Asynchronous: In addition to attending the two synchronous sessions, incoming students are required to complete a series of assignments on Canvas.
